Would you like to lead and develop a team of skilled senior specialists and ensure a smooth operation of a critical part of DSV’s core IT systems?

We govern a critical part of DSV’s core IT
You will lead our Linux & AIX team and become part of Unix Services, IT Operations, in Hedehusene. The team is comprised of approximately 10 senior specialists residing in Denmark, Poland and the US. The team’s purpose is to operate Linux and AIX in DSV as well as carrying out maintenance and development projects related to these systems, e.g. projects on the delivery of platforms or the taking over of new systems as a result of company acquisitions.
Individualised and context-dependent leadership
One of your main success criteria is ensuring a high employee satisfaction in the team. Although being quite independent, our specialists all have different leadership needs and potentials for development. Therefore, your management will be characterised by attentiveness and must be tailored to the individual person and context. You will also be responsible for securing project execution and ensuring that the team meets the defined goals.
Typical tasks and agendas on your calendar will include:
Project or people manager with great communication skills
You are able to communicate clearly and effectively across organisational levels and to both specialists and non-specialists. And you skilfully make ends meet and prioritise tasks and resources.

- Leading and developing the Linux & AIX team across all 3 locations
- Managing the occasional external consultant – typically up to 5 at a time
- Communicating with stakeholders, e.g. service owners and project managers
- Supervising the daily operation
- Preparing budgets and staying on top of spending
- Managing projects and supervising those involved in projects
Project or people manager with great communication skills
You are able to communicate clearly and effectively across organisational levels and to both specialists and non-specialists. And you skilfully make ends meet and prioritise tasks and resources.
Moreover, you bring:
- Project management or leadership experience and the capability to lead senior IT specialists
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ideally, a basic understanding or some experience with UNIX – however, this is not a prerequisite
