You will join our Group Internal Audit function As our new Internal Audit Manager, you will be part of a small group function originally established in 2019. With its defined global mandate for assurance, you will be responsible for planning and performing internal audit assignments as well as supporting Ramboll’s global risk management process. Due to the size of the team, you will have a significant ability to create an impact and have a large degree of autonomy. You will report to the Head of Group Internal Audit and will be based at Ramboll Headquarters in Copenhagen. The function reports to the Senior Director of Finance and to the Audit & Risk Committee. You will join a business which has clear and ambitious strategy and a growth agenda and is continuing its internal change journey as we further streamline, standardise and centralise our processes If you would like to play part in this journey, having a hands on role in determining the future direction for Group Internal Audit, influencing your own tasks and maturing our audit activity, this is the opportunity you are looking for! Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Contributing to the development of the internal audit plan and ensuring it continually focuses on key business risks Taking ownership of internal audits allocated from the internal audit plan, from scoping, performance of fieldwork to reporting Drafting clear and concise audit reports including observations and recommendations, agreeing these with stakeholders and monitoring the implementation and closure of actions Ensuring audit observations are supported by relevant and sufficient audit documentation Supporting the enterprise-wide risk management process, including the request, challenge and consolidation of business unit risk reporting Contributing to the development and enhancement of audit activities - methodology, audit programme development and analytic tool usage Supporting with ad hoc investigations, reporting and presentations including responding to management requests in a timely manner Upholding the reputation, visibility, influence and knowledge of the internal audit function through ongoing liaison, sparring and consultation with various stakeholders across the business Ensuring that the audit work undertaken remains free of undue influence and in line with the Code of Ethics and International Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors
Travel should be expected for this role; between 10-25 days a year is anticipated. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Relevant master’s degree (e.g. auditing, accounting, risk management) Solid audit experience as an internal and/or external auditor within an international company A bias towards operational auditing. Additionally, experience in auditing change would be welcome and set you apart from other candidates Comfortable in liaising with and being challenged by senior stakeholders within the business Having a high degree of professionalism and proactivity Having an analytical mindset; Be able to deal with complexity and be critical problem solver. Having a high sense of pride in your work, with an emphasis an attention to detail and the quality in your deliverables Able to leverage off your experience of supporting risk management processes in a prior role Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools and how these can be leveraged within audit activity Hold a relevant certification (e.g. Certified Internal Auditor) Be able to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and in writing Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Having a curious mind and a genuine passion for your work. Having strong interpersonal and communication skills and a sense of humour. You thrive working with stakeholders in a global organisation and have impeccable standards of integrity and handling confidential and sensitive matters. You can work independently and apply professional scepticism when performing audit assignments.
