Test strategy and governance in a global set up
Demant is a global leader in hearing healthcare, providing innovative and advanced solutions to improve the quality of life for millions of people. We have a clear focus on customer engagement, commercial excellence, and digital transformation.
We are in the middle of an existing transition to establishing a new test strategy and governance using a cloud customer mindset. Besides doing testing of our own releases, our cloud vendors, Google, Genesys and especially Microsoft require us to do specific regression testing when they apply updates to the ‘evergreen’ cloud software in our environments.
You will join a team of Hearing Care Architects and developers and be an integral part of the Hearing Care IT Delivery organization. You will have a close cooperation with the Director of Hearing Care Architecture & Platforms and work from our Demant headquarters in Smørum.
You have leadership aspirations
As Test Manager you will have an important role in shaping the future of our testing efforts in Hearing Care. Your role involves partnering with fellow architects, various development teams, and key contributors across the organization to build and maintain a robust and scalable test operating model and infrastructure.
As Test Manager you will be responsible for the tactical planning and coordination of the appropriate levels of testing as well as daily test governance. You will also participate hands on in automated test case creation and test run execution.
For the right candidate, it is our ambition that you in this role will grow into taking a leading role of a small team of technical testers.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Test and release strategies: Develop and implement test and release strategies to ensure the quality and timely delivery of software releases. Define and maintain test plans and release schedules, aligning them with project milestones and business objectives
Planning and coordination: Manage the work of technical testers, providing guidance and support in automated test creation, planning and execution and coordinate with development teams, product managers and stakeholders to plan and prioritize testing and release activities
Quality execution: Oversee, and participate in, the creation and execution of various test efforts, including functional, regression, performance and user acceptance testing to validate software quality and reliability
Release process: Coordinate the release process, ensuring smooth and errorfree releases and implement automation tools and processes to streamline testing and release procedures, improving efficiency and accuracy
Monitor Release Quality: Monitor, analyze and report on test results and release metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement in testing and release processes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing and releases status, risks and issues ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals
Continuous Quality: Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and best practices across the organization, driving continuous improvement in software quality
We need your experience
We are looking for a hands-on personality who believes that great achievements are based on team effort and collaboration. You have good communication skills and experience of working with business stakeholders - which allows you to communicate well with both technical and non-technical audiences. You have experience with complexity from working in a larger organization. Maybe you have experience working with different clients in a consultancy company.
