Head of IT Infrastructure Management to TDC NET – Copenhagen
We are looking for a skilled Senior Manager in IT Infrastructure, who wants to be part of a substantial and game-changing transformation and join at a stage and in a technology area with significant changes and development. TDC NET offers a unique and complex IT landscape in a one-of-a-kind business and proprietary and innovative technologies.
TDC NET is on an exciting transformation journey across the business as well in technology operations and development. TDC NET IT – Infrastructure Management
IT Infrastructure Management will be part of the IT organisation headed by a newly appointed and very experienced CIO. The IT management team manages internal IT, infrastructure and applications towards the customers, and integrations between TDC NET’s applications.
The role will report directly to the CIO and be part of the IT management team. This role is newly established in the sense that some changes have been made to the organisational structure. In total, the area includes +25 employees including a manager, and they work out of Aarhus and Copenhagen.
IT Infrastructure Management secures server development and operations, hardware, storage, firewalls, datacentre operations (on-prem and Cloud management and the interrelations between these), all licenses (use and renewals) including some applications, and others. ITIL is used as framework, and operations and development are to a large degree delivered via outsourced service vendors.
Leadership and building IT Infrastructure to the future and with Cloud technologies
As Head of IT Infrastructure Management, you are expected to demonstrate distinct leadership in your approach to people and technologies. You will be expected to introduce and anchor new ways of working, new (Cloud) technologies, as well as create a unified approach to development (tools and concepts). Today, TDC NET IT is using a platform operations approach with standard tooling in various parts of the IT organisation. Together with an engaged team and consultants, you will oversee and be responsible for:
Change-oriented people leader with strong background in Platform Operations
As a leader and individual, you are known to be convincing, resilient, and proactive – and as one, who inspires to change, and who can lead people through change in a dynamic and ever-evolving organisation. Furthermore, you demonstrate a strong service- and solution-orientation, and with distinct stakeholder management skills. Your people skills are complimented by a process orientation and structure, and with the ability to ask the right questions to ensure that all risks and opportunities are uncovered.
As a person, you are also curios to learn about and introduce new technologies that can support and develop the business, and with enough discipline to be interested in all kinds of technologies – also the necessary but less game-changing ones. You combine your curiosity and skills with:

Together with an engaged team and consultants, you will oversee and be responsible for:
- Creating a roadmap and overview of the IT landscape (applications, services, servers on-prem and Cloud-based, data platforms and more), and developing a strategy for integrations between these.
- Building a Platform Operations capacity that includes infrastructure automation, artifact repository, emergency response, infrastructure and applications security, CI / CD, and overall metrics.
- Ensuring that the Platform Operations team can provide operational services to TDC NET development teams that allow them to self-serve.
- Continuously updating potential threats and risks, and design responses and escalation levels.
- Heading status meetings with vendors to review progress, deliverables, and quality.
- Collaborating across TDC NET incl. with Security, to improve infrastructure and platform operations security.
- Providing leadership and change management to the team and stakeholders.

- Experience with Platform Operations and some or all elements of infrastructure automation, artifact repository, infrastructure and application security, CI/CD, and overall metrics.
- Experience with (standard) tooling enabling development teams to self-serve.
- Strong technical insight in operations of IT Infrastructure and Services, and in an outsourced vendor setup.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows, VMware, Kubernetes, AD, Linux, Citrix, VDI, Storage, Backup, O365, DC Networking including FW, routers, switches, and Load Balancers.
- Fluent in English, and where Danish is not a requirement, but an advantage. Located in proximity to Copenhagen or Aarhus, Denmark.
