As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be the main developer of the system architecture and all the software tools required to realize our vision for an optimized and intelligent production. Some of the exciting challenges we are tackling include among others the development of the system/software architecture, the design and development of a database and a graphical user interface.
You will play a key role in our efforts to develop, optimize, deploy, and maintain a reliable quality code for storing the information retrieved by sensor systems and communicating efficiently relevant information to the system's users.
What You'll Be Doing
o Write high quality code
o Be the main architect for our local and cloud solutions
o Be the main developer of the database of our system
o Be the main designer of the graphical user interface of our system
o Design, review, improve and update the system and software architecture.
o Cooperate with a research institution in developing AI-based predictive algorithms.
o Design and implement interface to a robotic system
o Support our team in developing software code fostering the adaptivity of a robotic system
o Support the design of feature detection algorithms with machine vision software (i.e. Halcon)
o Collaborate with members of our software, hardware, and operations teams
o Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews
o Handle multiple activities simultaneously, meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress.
What You'll Bring
o 8+ years of work experience
o Advanced-level experience in software development with relevant programming languages for cloud applications
o Experience with cloud-based and web-based applications development as well as desktop applications
o Experience with cloud build systems, cloud configuration etc.
o Experience designing and developing databases with relevant languages
o Broad experience with different types of database
o Competence in data structures and algorithms
o Experience with version control solutions (e.g., Git) combined with build systems, both local and cloud based
o Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
o Expertise in API development
o Expertise in machine learning
o Experience in systems architecture
o Experience with machine vision applications development with Halcon or similar perception/vision libraries
o Minimum BS in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields (MS or Ph.D. preferred)
Nice-to-Haves
o You have developed and shipped a complete product to a customer
o Experience in cross-platform GUI development
o Solid understanding of user interaction patterns and best practices
o Experience in R&D
o Experience from a system integrator company
o Experience with production companies
o Experience with 3D simulation, games, or tools
o Experience with software engineering tools and best practices in production
o Experience with Agile Scrum methodology or similar
