Currently, we are looking for a Lead Blade Technician to join our dedicated Special Task & Blades Nordic department that is responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine main components across Scandinavia (positions will be Nordic-based – DK, SE, FI, NO).

As a Lead Blade Technician, you will be part of Special Task & Blades Nordic with the responsibility of fiber (glass and carbon) repairs in Scandinavia. The Nordic Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within Scandinavia. Vestas Northern and Central Europe strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, not only in modern energy but also in employee and customer satisfaction. With these goals, a Lead Blade Technician holds an important role as the frontline of our service agreements, taking care of the customers' turbines. In this role, you get to work in an exciting industry in a team of highly engaged and competent employees.

The position requires high demands on accuracy and professionalism, as we are extremely committed that our blade repair is performed with the highest quality. Your level of safety awareness is high. You should be comfortable working at heights, coping with the respective tasks this brings. To fully achieve your goals, we believe that you are a practical, flexible, safety-oriented, and businesslike person.
As we are working across Scandinavia, you need to be able to be away from home for up to 3 weeks in a row or more and travel with short notice. (working schedules will be on different rotations)

Responsibilities
- Carry out activities related to the blade maintenance processes in order to assure service level agreements and minimize service costs
- Inspect the operational level of the blades assessed; register results on maintenance information systems in order to assure the reliability of the information gathered and compliance of information procedures
- Handling documentation related to the domain of blade repair
- Carry out a diversity of check-ups, repairs, and replacement activities of turbine components
- Able to secure stakeholder management on different levels and functions
- Support blade repairs across Scandinavia
- Lead and support subcontractors working on Vestas projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of qualified professional experience in the repair of blades of wind turbines
- Basic knowledge of MS Office
- Rope access or ActSafe knowledge
- Good communication skills, including proficiency in the English language (writing & verbally)
- Team-oriented person
- Safety orientated
- Driver’s license cat. B (+trailer preferable but not a requirement)
