Content Editor / Copy Writer at new music streaming service in India


For our new office in Mumbai, we are looking for an experienced Content Editor / Copy Writer with a passion for music to join our growing and dedicated team.

In this role you will oversee and write copy for emails, campaigns, in-app, webpage, press releases, social media, and everywhere else where we communicate with our users. You will develop and implement editorial content strategies and create, manage and execute social media campaigns in close collaboration with the local team and the global marketing, tech and design teams at the Moodagent HQ, Copenhagen. You will also provide daily editorial content like articles, features and other content to ensure a strong presence of the local music scene across all our channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and oversee copywriting and messaging for all local content including, but not limited to, in-app, webpage, social media, campaigns, marketing automation (email), press releases and blog posts.
  • Responsible for creation and optimizing of editorial content around artist and music-related campaigns and projects, including features, events and interviews
  • Ensure quality control and correct implementation of all approved copy.
  • Translation and localization of global advertising material, in-app wordings and messaging (English to Hindi)
  • Optimize copy to meet best SEO practices
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure implementation of approved copy, and tone and consistency for partner related materials and outside events
  • Track, analyze and report - provide updates and dashboards to the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • English and Hindi (fluently written and read)
  • 5+ years communications and/or editorial experience
  • A creative and innovative approach to write engaging copy
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical approach and experienced in SEO tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. The ability to multitask while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail is essential
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of CMS, proficiency in marketing automation platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish a rapport with others on the team and external parties in the same manner
  • Collaborative, team-focused style of working. Self-sufficient and a positive attitude, a natural problem solver
