We are looking for a highly qualified Global Legal Counsel to support our business within the two separate areas of data privacy and international contracts. You will be part of the Global Legal department and work from Ambu’s headquarter in Ballerup.
Ambu develops, manufactures, and sells medical devices. Millions of patients and healthcare professionals depend on the functionality and performance of Ambu’s products worldwide.
As Global Legal Counsel your responsibilities will include
Solution-oriented candidate with a pragmatic approach
Our ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within Law (cand.jur) and has 3+ years of experience with legal counselling either from a law firm or as in-house legal counsel working with the General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR” as well as international contracts. The candidate shall be curious with regards to GDPR and have an interest in working with data privacy in a broader perspective.
You thrive on handling a wide range of tasks and you manage to consistently deliver professional and constructive solutions with a business mindset. You have excellent analytical skills, and you know how to prioritize and meet deadlines. In addition, you have great communication skills.
You are methodical and thorough. You have the ability to work effectively on multiple projects without losing sight of details and quality.
It is key that you by nature are committed, proactive and that you are able to identify and explore opportunities. You have high integrity and strong interpersonal skills. You can interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration, which means that you must be fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.

As Global Legal Counsel your responsibilities will include
- Act as a proactive legal partner to all functions of Ambu in relation to data privacy and procurement.
- Provide advice on data privacy in general e.g., in relation to development of new products.
- Oversee our data privacy management system, policies and guidelines.
- Draft, review and negotiate international contracts, e.g., consulting agreements, project agreements, purchasing agreements, IT agreements, and clinical study agreements.
- Provide support to projects and initiatives.
- Provide ad-hoc advice on various commercial legal matters.
- Provide employee training.
