Your position
In our Legal Department you will experience a team that emphasizes professionalism, collaboration and work-life balance. We prioritise to make this position a safe and thorough journey into the world of “business-lawyering” in the energy sector, and we have started up a new set up for law graduates with a dedicated mentor the first two years; our first graduate started working for us from September 2023, and we hope to get two graduates in total.
Together we have an ambition as a team to deliver "world-class solutions to complex legal challenges".
Your tasks & responsibilities
You will advise on- and do contractual work primarily in relation to our offshore energy business and will also be supporting our procurement department. At the same time, you will be advising the business directly on a wide variety of commercial, legal and risk management issues.

As a person we imagine that you are detail-oriented, self-driven and relatively independent. You possess an analytic mindset, and it also comes naturally to you to be a good team player. Moreover, you are commercially conscious, confident, have a self-driven and independent personality, but do also acknowledge the strength of teamwork.
It would be great if you have got a broad sense of humour, a curious nature and are happy to co-operate within an informal legal team with seven colleagues.

Your tasks & responsibilities

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Providing high quality legal advice
- Influencing decisions regarding commercial and legal issues
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, sometimes with demanding deadlines
- Being the responsible lawyer in case-processing for one or more offshore business divisions, both in-house and externally.
Your profile & qualifications

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in law (= law candidate)
- 0-2 years of experience is required, but preferably you have an interest in the fields of commercial law, international agreements and construction or energy law
- Interest in LOGIC, BIMCO or FIDIC or other agreed documents, or special interest in IT law, German law, Common law or alike
- Interest in or experience with in-house legal work from a student worker position
- You will need a high degree of fluency in written and verbal English
