Newly opened innovation hub Matrikel 1, is looking for a skilled Janitor to join our team!
Our fast growing start up community is so far consisting of Matrikel 1, Founders House, Startup Village, DIGS (Trondheim) and MESH (Oslo). Together we service hundreds of start-up’s and provide co-working spaces for innovative companies. We also run a Hospitality concept with event venues, kitchens, cafe- and bars.
We are looking for a full-time Janitor to work on our two sites in Copenhagen; Matrikel1 and Founders House.
Work description
As Janitor you will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the two buildings. This is consisting of three main areas; routine maintenance tasks, incoming maintenance, and small and larger projects.
You will be working in teams as well as independently. You have a flexible working day (and schedule) and you take responsibility for your own work.

You are systematic with a sense for tidiness. You are practical and independent, as well as flexible. You take ownership at work and your communication skills are good. You are a person with a good mood.

As Janitor you will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the two buildings. This is consisting of three main areas; routine maintenance tasks, incoming maintenance, and small and larger projects.
You will be working in teams as well as independently. You have a flexible working day (and schedule) and you take responsibility for your own work.
The main areas of responsibility will be:
- Health and Safety systems (fire routines etc)
- Infrastructure maintenance (internet, electrical-, locking-, water and drainage systems)
- Ventilation systems
- Contact point with suppliers
- Leading and following up on smaller construction projects
- Getting quotes from suppliers where extra expertise is needed
- Handle AV and IT questions
- Prepare offices when companies are moving in and out
Qualifications
- Previous experience with construction/infrastructure
- General IT knowledge
- Danish and/or English language skills
- Driver's license
