The department
DFDS Legal & Insurance provides professional assistance and sparring for the DFDS Group across a wide range of business units and staff functions in all legal and insurance matters and advice on current and future projects. The legal work covers various areas, but the majority lies within international contract law, M&A projects, compliance and carriage of goods and passengers.
We strive to be close to the current business in a fast-paced and informal working environment. You will report to the general counsel of DFDS. The department consists of 6 colleagues in Copenhagen, 3 in Klaipeda, Lithuania and 1 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Your profile
You hold a law degree, preferably a Danish Bar Exam, and relevant prior experience. You have worked with international contract law, are used to drafting in the English language and prior experience within transportation law and compliance work will be an advantage. Furthermore, it is an absolute requirement that you are fluent in English and Danish verbally as well as in writing.
As a person you are organized, responsible and can translate a high level of professionalism into commercial solutions. You care about the business contexts and can communicate legal issues to your colleagues outside the legal department in a clear and understandable way.

- Drafting and advising on contracts with customers and suppliers, including negotiations, and participation in tender offers, for all matters predominantly in the English language
- Compliance related matters
- Counseling on matters arising from the business in general, e.g. M&A, marketing issues, intellectual property rights, commercial law, corporate law, transport and tort law, and insurance issues
Your profile
