We are looking for a Commercial Contract Manager for our client in the Wind Industry.
You will be placed in the Business Area Wind, who is responsible for the clients in onshore and offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. Today they develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, they have a clear strategy to develop their solar PV and battery operations further.
Your department will be working in the Dutch Offshore Wind Project Hollandse Kuist Zuid (HKZ) which is currently under construction. You will mainly support the WTG package (TSA & Installation contracts) and will direct report to the Commercial Project Manager.

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in a commercial subject, engineering or equivalent
Good understanding of construction terminology (preferable CIV and Construction), progress calculation methods, programmes of work and project timelines
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial contract management, preferably in the offshore wind industry or similar complex industries
Expert knowledge of contract management & claim management of contract such as FIDIC and T&I
Deep knowledge of project management methods ideally certified by IPMA, PMI or equivalent
Work experience in cross-functional and international teams
Strong commercial contract and negotiation experience
Strong analytical skills
Independent, structured and target-orientated work style
Good communication and presentation skills
Excellent English skills - both oral and written
Valid EU work permit
Able to start right away
Tasks:
Reports to the Commercial Project Manager
Provides specialist support and commercial input to the package(s)
Responsible for regular strategic review of results and forecasts in conjunction with the Commercial Project Manager, monitoring contract spend, future commitments, potential risks and one-off analyses
Investigates and prepares interpretation of contract terms and conditions across projects
Manages and follows up of contractor payment schedules
Processes applications for payment requests
Give legal and contractual advice to package manager and liaise with legal department and VF Claims managers when needed
Ensures all contract obligations are met by both the client and the contractor
Ensures sufficient project records are kept to support project commercial, contract and claim management within its scope/package
Leads claim management for the package
Advises package with regards to variations, claims and notices from contractors
Drafts contract related correspondence: instructions, determinations, notices, variations requests and orders, and employers claims
Documents potential claims and provides immediate access to the all relevant document for dispute or litigation
Through commercial reporting monitors and reports contract performance, including variation order register, notice, claim and amendment register
