Company Description

IPM is a young startup company founded in 2014 as a spinoff from the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology at DTU. IPM’s main interest is to develop environmental sensors using patentable technology. IPM is currently focusing on developing and testing a commercial product that can provide continuous measurements of the pesticide level in water production facilities.

Project description

This position is a part of an EU project that IPM is currently engaged in. The project is funded by the Fast Track to Innovation program to develop a fully functional prototype for water quality control along with our EU partners. The project is currently running under a strict deadline with milestone deliveries. The candidate will focus on maturing the detection technique for the selected pesticides. The position is a mixture of experimental work, data analysis and interpretation of obtained results.

Responsibilities and tasks

The successful candidate will be hired by IPM and located fulltime at our facility at Karlslunde. All R&D activities will be conducted in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Qualifications

The successful candidate is a MSc/PhD graduate or early Post Doc researcher with a background in analytical chemistry, applied chemistry, electroanalysis and electrochemistry. The ideal candidate has to be self-driven and strongly research minded.

• Prior experience in industry is required.
• Prior experience in electrochemical sensing is needed.
• Experience and the combination of knowledge in chemistry and materials engineering is required.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment.
• Ability and flexibility to work in a team, and being able to work independently.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
