Join GRAF2X, our fast-paced Villum Power-to-X (VPX) accelerator program on course to revolutionize CO2 capture using membrane technology based on our patented graphene and 2D materials developed at DTU for the past decade.

Our expectations of you

  • Drive the design and development of a cutting-edge CO2 capture process utilizing graphene-enhanced membrane technology.
  • Employ your expertise in membrane technology and process design to enhance membrane efficiency, performance, and economic viability.
  • Conduct membrane testing, data collection and analysis to validate and improve membrane performance.
  • Utilize your knowledge of membrane materials and their properties to select the best membrane materials to combine with our patented graphene solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source the best membrane materials and equipment for the project.
  • Actively contribute to our pilot-scale demonstration project to ensure the successful implementation of our lab-scale optimized process at scale.
  • Use your technical expertise to tackle operational challenges, and to troubleshoot and optimize our membrane test systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in membrane technology to contribute to our continuous improvement and development efforts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cost projections, competitive analyses, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, membrane technology, or related fields. Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Experience in the design, operation, modeling (Aspen, COMSOL, or similar), and/or testing of membrane separation processes, preferably within gas separation processes.
  • An analytical mind with demonstrated aptitude in systematic experimentation, data collection, and analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of fundamental membrane design principles and material properties.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to CO2 capture and/or membrane systems is preferred but not required.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and team-playing abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Passion for the green transition and a commitment to drive sustainable solutions based on the latest advances in 2D materials and notably the application of graphene-enhanced membrane technologies.

About VPX: Graf2X is a project within the Villum Power-to-X accelerator, situated in the Technical University of Denmark and built upon nearly a decade of research in large-area graphene production, quality control and development of CO2 separation membranes. Until now, the graphene team has raised almost 1 million USD to develop applications and scale-up the technology, allowing us to create a platform on which a host of future megatrend technologies can be conceptualized, developed, and built - Graf2X being the current primary focus of these megatrends.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The period of employment is 1 year starting from 15 December 2023 or upon mutual agreement.
