Environmental and Chemical Specialist

About the role
In this role, you will be involved in leading the tactical and strategical level to ensure the minimalization of our internal environmental foot print and maximize our business value. Working from your desk in Valby, you will collaborate with our Region HSEQ managers across the globe and our central office function in India.
With your passion for driving our “ZeroHarm” agenda, your excellent communication skills, and your motivation for driving compliance projects all the way to the finish line, you be responsible for ensuring all decision-making processes are fact-based and strategically viable. Prioritising projects and monitoring their progress comes naturally to you, and you never miss a detail, despite keeping a constant eye on the bigger, long-term picture.

Joining our Group Health, Safety, Environmental and Travel Security team in Valby, you will partake in our mission to manage our global agenda.
We are a group of specialists, with dedicated areas of responsibility such as safety and incident management, product and functional safety, hazardous materials and travel security. As the group environmental and chemical specialist, you will be the overall responsible for securing optimal environmental performance and that our production processes, materials and other elements comply with our global sustainability agenda.

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and manage our group environmental and chemical policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ensure that we meet the requirements of - and are in compliance with - permits and legal standards
- Lead the environmental multisite certification progress, develop the audit setup and establish policies and procedures to monitor our global environmental performance
- Drive the continuous improvement of our chemical management program and other projects, continuously monitor their progress to evaluate their results
- Provide support to our Industry and Regional QHSE managers regarding environmental, chemicals and compliance programs
Your qualifications:
- A master’s or engineering degree within biology, chemistry or similar
- Several years’ experience with environmental and chemical compliance programmes, and proven results in driving projects from A-Z
- Proven track record as a lead auditor of ISO 14001, C02 programs, chemicals regulations as well as hazardous and solid waste
- Speak and write fluently in English
