On behalf of Watson-Marlow Flexicon Ltd., based in Ringsted, we offer you a new position as Programme Manager. The role will have full accountability for a portfolio of key strategic engineering development projects, primarily within New Product Innovation (NPI).
Since 1986, the company has been the market leader in the development and manufacture of customer-specific solutions for aseptic filling and encapsulation for the pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries.
Watson-Marlow Flexicon’s 70 competent and committed employees in Ringsted strive daily to deliver high-end high-quality solutions to customers all over the world (export share 95%+). The target group is laboratory productions and small to medium-sized batch productions that require flexibility, efficiency and very high precision in a sterile environment.
Watson-Marlow Flexicon offers its customers worldwide a wide range of process solutions from stand-alone devices to manual filling over semi-automatic systems to fully automatic filling and capsulating machines to highly regulated industries where strong documentation and traceability are paramount.
This role will have full accountability for a portfolio of key strategic development projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality. Typically handling 5-7 projects in different phases simultaneously. Often with both technical and commercial NPI project content, where timelines need to be secured accordingly. In a matrix organization you will be part of the international NPI project organization within Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG).
As a Programme Manager, you will need to put together detailed resource and financial plans, track outstanding work to be completed, set deadlines and delegate tasks to your project teams, identifying and managing any potential risks. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the team completing the project work in line with the plans and will need to report progress to senior managers on a continuous basis. Your primary tasks will be:
- Initiating projects – verify feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources
- Carrying out robust project planning – this will include setting team goals and project objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks in accordance with the needs of the business.
- Ensuring projects adhere to the company standard processes, in terms of approvals, reporting, deliverables, etc.
- Leading and motivating your project team, ensuring that the team continuously performs
- Monitoring and controlling the project deliverables, driving action and improvement using Key Performance Indicators and Visual Management
- Identifying and managing risks through proactive mitigation to ensure project delivery remains on track
- Working both with the Head of R&D (in the U.K.) and the Manager Design & Engineering (on-site in Ringsted) to review project priorities, undertake impact assessments, with the ability to appreciate the strategic importance of project delivery in relation to the overall performance
Your background and competences
The ideal candidate matches the following:
- Solid Project Management experience, and preferably Programme Management experience
- Experience with running complicated machine and process development projects
- Experience with running technology development project
- Ideally have experience from a fast-paced product development environment
- Hold a project management certification (ideally a professionally accredited Project Manager)
- Have excellent stakeholder management and organizational skills
- Fluent business and technical English skills verbal and in writing are mandatory, Danish language skills are preferred
- Be a good communicator, able to articulate the project requirements and progress of the project clearly to all levels within the business
- Persistent and operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. You enjoy a busy working day and can progress several tasks in parallel
- Motivating and inspiring by nature and can secure the necessary support and resources from the wider business, etc.
- A team player with fine cultural understanding
