Our team:

Join sanofi Denmark as Pharmacovigilance & Medical Information Officer / Country Safety Head (CSH) Back-up. In this role you will be reporting to the Country Safety Head/MI Manager in Denmark and act as her back-up. You will actively contribute to the Northern Europe Cluster Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information team and to the local organization via day-to-day collaboration, projects and working groups. The members of the working groups serve as subject matter experts across the North European Cluster.

There is no travelling required in this job. This is a permanent and office based role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to pharmacovigilance (PV) related activities including handling of individual case safety reports from multiple sources in close collaboration with local and global counterparts
  • Obtain and maintain thorough knowledge of company procedures and legal requirements regarding Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information, as well as having a good knowledge of the PV and MI aspects of the company portfolio
  • Support to the Country Safety Head in Denmark in relation to affiliate safety surveillance activities, safety issues, risk management activities, product alerts, social media/digital initiatives and market research programs
  • Provide relevant safety information to Health Authorities, internal stakeholders, and external parties in collaboration with global and local PV team
  • Participate in process optimization and writing of local/multi country Quality Documents (QDs) according to corporate QDs and local legislation
  • Train colleagues and vendors in PV and MI related aspects applicable for their function
  • Provide high quality medical information answers to inquiries received from healthcare professionals, patients and other customers
  • For the Country Safety Head (CSH) back-up part of the role you will replace the CSH in most of her tasks when she is out of office, including acting as local PV contact for the authorities and being accountable for PV inspections. You will act as a key contributor to support, maintain, and further develop a compliant, robust and efficient local PV system. You will have an important role in the collaboration with the country business units and functions as well as external vendors and partners

About you

  • University degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Science or similar
  • At least 2 years of experience within pharmacovigilance
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work on own initiative as well as being a team player
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute on tasks to keep deadlines
  • Strategic mindset and sound judgement with an ability to identify opportunities and influence stakeholders
  • Awareness of the need for accuracy
  • Verbal and written fluency in Danish and English
