In Novo Nordisk’s Digital Accelerator, we are looking for an intern with strong communication skills and a passion for technology and organisational transformation.
About the department
The Digital Accelerator is on a mission to accelerate the digital transformation in Novo Nordisk and build value-driving software that helps address some of the biggest business opportunities across our value chain. Our key focus area is establishing, driving and supporting a range of semi-autonomous in-house development teams, called Digital Lighthouses. These teams work agile and represent a partnership between individual business areas and IT. They work with a high degree of empowerment and creativity, all in pursuit of building high-impact digital solutions for Novo Nordisk. The Digital Accelerator is in place to do just that, to improve the way we work so that these teams can grow and be as best as they can.
As part of our journey, we showcase the broader digital transformation across the company and act as a hub for inspiration and knowledge sharing. Communication and knowledge sharing are fundamental to achieving this ambition, and we are looking for an eager Communication Intern to help us on this journey.
The Position
You will be putting words into action by building, executing and continuously improving a communication strategy for the area. This will be both internally within the Digital Accelerator, wider in Novo Nordisk, as well as for some external communications. To achieve this, we are looking for a colleague to tell compelling stories about the changes, new practices, and new experiments done both in the Digital Accelerator and in the Digital Lighthouses that we work with.
We work across many interaction mediums, whether it be social media posts, internal newsletters, videos, recruitment campaigns, and in-house speaker series and presentation – all of which you will be able to get hands-on experience with. We’re always open to new ideas or approaches to try, so we’re expecting you to come up with new ideas and approaches to try out.
- Internship Period: between 4-6 months
- Working Hours: we expect you to work up to 37,5 hours per week, but can be flexible in this space if you have course schedule commitments
- Start Date: 13-April, 2020 or 01-May, 2020
- Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
- A Danish full-time work permit is required
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with strong communication skills across various mediums, a curious mind and plenty of constructive pragmatism. Ideally, you have previous experience with relevant topics and tasks, e.g. specific communications channels and tools. We expect you to have hands-on experience writing compelling articles, filming and editing videos, and managing communication content, or a strong interest in developing these capabilities. As a person, you a curious by nature and eager to take responsibility for your tasks to help us share our story with the broader Novo Nordisk community.
Your line of study can be broad, e.g. relating to IT, innovation management, communications, medical sciences or similar. However, your personal interests and skills will be just as important, and we’re eager to hear about your motivation for this role. As our corporate language is English, we expect you to be fluent in English, both written and oral.
