Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations is part of the Global Public Affairs & Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We are an active partner for patients and policymakers raising the standards of care in our therapy areas and helping solve society’s fundamental challenges. The team covers health and corporate issues focusing on key account management of main markets, leading EU relations through our Brussels team and home market corporate and public affairs. The Position
You will be responsible for driving and implementing our global public affairs plan for plastics using our ‘Reduce, Change and Avoid’ approach to solve our plastic challenge and being a sustainable business. You will be working in a close, multi-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues in Corporate Environmental Strategy, key markets and EU team. The role is based in our global headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring seamless cooperation between Global Headquarters, key affiliates and the regional offices by delivering timely, high-quality assets such as policy positions, data and evidence, guidance on the implementation of global flagship initiatives and capability building. Supporting Corporate Environmental Strategy through public affairs plans and execution of external engagement and advocacy Assessing and analysing key policy trends, risks and opportunities and their potential impact on Novo Nordisk Working strategically with key external partners and representing Novo Nordisk in relevant global organisations and fora International travel commensurate with the role Qualifications As an ideal candidate, you have a Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Business or a related field combined with: 5+ years of relevant work experience in public affairs in sustainability, health, industry, consultancy or public institutions – preferably from the pharmaceutical or other policy-driven, highly regulated sectors A deep understanding of- and ability to navigate in complex political environments and within matrix organisations Experience in designing and forming partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders An analytical mindset and strong knowledge of project management Excellent communication and presentations skills Strong command of written and spoken English We also expect our candidate to have an experience working internationally with a proven track record in delivering campaigns in multiple geographies and to have exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
