Joining GN – leading major technology shifts with intelligent audio solutions
At GN, we develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and excellent design to ensure that people will be able to hear more, do more and be more than ever thought possible.
You will be joining the R&D department at our HQ in Ballerup and be part of the local Process Management & System Support team consisting of 7 dedicated colleagues.
Here, you will work closely with our 2 other technical writers. Together, you are responsible for the product literature, i.e. user guides, data sheets, tutorials and support communication. The product instructions and guides are distributed through different media both in digital and print form.
You update and write user guides and data sheets – and make an impact
Initially, your main task will be to differentiate source documentation into different brand intents in cooperation with our project managers and to manage translations in collaboration with an external translation agency.
Your purpose is to convey complex technical and audiological information in a simple and unambiguous manner making user guides, data sheets and tutorials easily understandable for end-users at different ages and levels of education – and with different mother tongues.
This means, that you will:

- Write and edit product literature and user guides for all kinds of GN Hearing products like hearing aids, apps or connectivity devices and manage the user documentation for the programs
- Ensure correct content and style in the user guides based on input from product managers, audiologists and the regulatory affairs team
- Review and suggest improvements to the current editorial setup

Additionally, we imagine that you:
- Have a few years’ experience from a similar role in an international organization – i.e. from a student position or your first job
- Have experience with the editor tool MadCap Flare – or have an interest in learning it
- Bring good knowledge of HTML and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Preferably have knowledge about the medical device regulations as well as Illustrator and main image formats
- Are fluent in English both orally and written
