Driving LEO Pharma’s engagement with key stakeholders
LEO Pharma is looking for an experienced public affairs senior manager in the Global Public Affairs function. In this role, you will be responsible for the relationships with all external stakeholders who drive or shape the policies that determine LEO Pharma’s ability to help people achieve healthy skin and patients to get access to treatment.

LEO Pharma has embarked on a growth journey to become the preferred dermatology care partner in the world, dedicated to helping people achieve healthy skin. We have recently introduced our 2025 strategy, which aims to accelerate our efforts in innovative therapeutics while strengthening our established portfolio and our global footprint in medical dermatology.
Dermatology is an area of rapid growth and LEO Pharma is rapidly changing from one that is focused on topical treatments, to being at the forefront of scientific advancements to help patients. To achieve our ambitious goals, we want to bring all LEO people along the journey and the changes this requires from everyone to focus on the right things, collaborate, and work efficiently while preserving the unique parts of our company culture.
Objectives
In this role, you will be supporting business success by creating, driving and implementing the global public affairs strategy for eczema. This includes creating and driving advocacy, coalitions and programs for eczema (including Atopic Dermatitis and Chronic Hand Eczema) by engaging with external stakeholders who shape its external environment, e.g. governments, patient organizations and industry.
You will support the LEO Pharma’s Global Public Affair activities to promote a political environment, policies and legislations that ensure dermatological patients timely access to healthcare.
You will report to the Senior Director Global Public Affairs and be based at LEO Pharma’s headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, near Copenhagen.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Supporting business success by creating, driving and implementing the Global Public Affairs strategy for eczema. Creating and driving advocacy, coalitions and programs for eczema Building and nurturing strong internal relationships with key stakeholders and leading LEO Pharma’s internal public affairs community: Supporting affiliates and regions in implementation of plans and initiatives: Support Global Public Affairs strategy development and roll out and communication
Requirements
3+ years of experience in international public affairs/market access University degree in political science, international public health or other health related fields 10 + experience working within the pharmaceutical industry. Global experience an asset Demonstrated experience working in disease related pharmaceutical public affairs and/or market access Demonstrated success in creating and implementing patient relations programs to enhance reputation, understanding the payer environment and shape stakeholder environment and drive business agenda Ability to provide strong patient relations counsel on complex topics to senior level leaders Ability to network and work with LEO Pharma leadership and internal stakeholders on all levels (global, regional, local) Diplomatic and presentation skills, advising senior management, and working with internal stakeholders without direct reporting lines. Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities, and demonstrated capacity to work effectively with all levels Strong collaboration skills and experience in working in a matrix organization Strong external network with agencies, consultants, strategists Ability and willingness to travel frequently internationally Fluent level of English, 2nd language is an asset Public affairs experience in Denmark an asset

Global Communication, Public Affairs & CSR is responsible for corporate branding, communication, public affairs, and corporate social responsibility. We are helping LEO Pharma achieve its mission of helping people achieve healthy skin by shaping its profile and engaging external stakeholders as well as employees.
Global Public Affairs is helping LEO Pharma achieve its mission of helping people achieve healthy skin by engaging with external stakeholders who shape its external environment. This includes relations with governments, patient organizations and industry. LEO Pharma’s Global Public Affair promote a political environment, policies and legislations that ensure dermatological patients timely access to healthcare. We work towards strengthen the public prioritization of medical dermatology dermatological diseases and thereby supporting business. In addition, we provide insights and drive initiatives that support the launches of innovative products.
Global Public Affairs is responsible for engaging directly with key stakeholders such as international and global patient organizations, European and US industry associations and the Danish government. Global Public Affairs develops and drives multi stakeholder campaigns, such as coalition building, public information and policy advice, and programs specific to LEO Pharma’s main therapy areas (psoriasis, eczema, thrombosis). Global Public Affairs is also maintaining a network of relations with other pharmaceutical companies.
Internally, the global team is the hub for all public affairs activities across LEO Pharma, setting the overall public affairs direction, advising senior management as well as functions regions and countries, and planning, aligning and coordinating initiatives.
