Marketing Analyst

DFDS Seaways AS is currently looking to fill the position of Marketing Analyst in our Oslo location. The role is a part of our Insight & Strategy, Passenger Marketing Team that reports to the Head of Insight & Strategy.

We are an energetic and curious team of people from Denmark, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and France and we are looking for a Marketing Analyst to improve deliverables to our stakeholders, run projects and contribute to our key initiatives by producing and presenting relevant, informative and actionable insight to help drive business decisions.

In your role as Marketing Analyst you will support delivering pre-campaign and project analysis, support product development and be our next great customer insight specialist.

Main responsibilities

  • Drive all forms of passenger marketing insight using relevant data sources and presenting in a digestible format
  • Support and proactively recommend actionable insights across the passenger marketing organization
  • Create the data extracts needed for analysis and requests on different markets and routes
  • Analyse and visualize data extracts and drive actionable insights
  • Participate in ongoing product development and campaign activities as well as discussions with the different marketing teams to ensure we deliver on customer expectations
  • Work across all marketing functions to ensure insights are effectively integrated and implemented across functions
  • Present results to stakeholders
  • Support definition of company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
  • Support implementation of tools and strategies to extract and translate raw data into valuable actionable insights
  • Support analytics tools set up to correct discrepancies and ensure quality
  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance

Key Performance Indicators

  • Insightful analytics that drive business decisions
  • Effective support in analysing processes
  • Assistance in overall performance of passenger business

Core Skills & Competencies

  • 3+ years’ experience in analytics & statistics within marketing is an advantage but not a must
  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics
  • Advanced understanding of marketing channel analysis is an advantage
  • Experience in data prep and blending tools (ex: Alteryx) and data visualization tools (ex: Tableau)
  • Knowledge of attribution modelling is an advantage
  • Knowledge and understanding of travel and insights industry is an advantage
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Norwegian/Danish/Swedish and English is a requirement
  • Marketing, Analytics, Business, Maths degree or professional marketing qualification is an advantage
