Student Assistant - Corporate Communications
Do you want to work with corporate communication and branding in a leading healthcare and technology Group and collaborate with colleagues around the world?
Demant is looking for an engaged student assistant with a can-do attitude to assist in our fast paced and ambitious work to strengthen the communication across the Demant group.
Demant offers innovative solutions and services within hearing healthcare and audio solutions. You might know Oticon, which is one of our premium hearing aid brands, but we are also involved in hearing care, hearing implants, diagnostic equipment and headsets for office and gaming. Listed as part of Nasdaq Copenhagen C25 index, Demant is a global organisation with an annual revenue of 15 billion Danish kroner and more than 16,500 colleagues around the world.
Your role
You will be an integrated part of Demant’s Corporate Communications & Relations team, including Sustainability, where you will be working with both internal and external communication. You will have day-to-day tasks but will also be responsible for running smaller projects.
Corporate Communication is part of Corporate Functions and support the executive and top management of the Demant Group. Your area of responsibility:
- Branding – you will be assisting with supporting employees across the group in the proper use of the Demant brand – logo, tone of voice, colours and fonts etc.
- PR – you will be assisting in the ongoing PR efforts to increase the knowledge of Demant and our many brands in Danish media.
- Content production – you will assist with content production for platforms such as intranet, website, social media etc.
- Media monitoring – you will be responsible for our ongoing monitoring of relevant media coverage of Demant, our many brands and competitors in both traditional and social media. You will also be responsible for reporting on statistics and developments in the media landscape.
- Website maintenance – you will be assisting with content creation for Demant.com and helping local offices around the world with updating their websites.
To succeed in the position, you must
Be proactive, bring ideas to the table and not be afraid to fling yourself into the tasks. You will be met by a great deal of trust, backed by a team ready to guide you or offer advice. We value new ideas and input and the road from thought to reality is never long.
You have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a university or DMJX in communication or journalism. You are now either studying or just starting your master’s degree.
- Practical experience with working with communication and PR
You are competent and experienced in most of the below areas:
- Fluency in English and Danish both verbal and written
- Experience with Content Management Systems (preferably Sitecore)
- Understanding of how the media works (preferably experience working with PR)
- Producing PowerPoint presentations
The candidate we are looking for also has:
- Ability to manage and meet tight deadlines
- A positive “can-do” attitude and focus on execution
- A motivation for teamwork and good people skills
- An ability to demonstrate flexibility when change or challenges occur
Hours
15-20 hours per week
Employment start
As soon as possible (as a starting point the job is temporary for 12 months)
