Student Assistant for Global IT Communication
We are looking for a student assistant with strong communication skills and digital curiosity!

Global IT covers a broad range of disciplines such as IT operations, service desk, digital workplace, software development, and digital innovation that enable the continuous growth of Demant.
You will add value to Global IT by being responsible for key internal communication activities across Global IT and you will be supporting the IT Management team on a regular basis. As such, you will play a role in improving various initiatives to support and develop communication activities. Professionalizing the internal communication in Global IT is a relatively new focus area and a high priority in IT Management. You will be a key contributor in shaping the tone and strategy for communication.
Your responsibilities
By joining our IT Management Office in Smørum, you will become part of a dedicated and ambitious team which supports the IT Management leadership team. Our office is responsible for accelerating the digital agenda at Demant, advising on best practices, prioritizing the right initiatives, and running key IT projects across Global IT.
Your primary tasks will be to take ownership of our monthly newsletter, by:
- Gathering stories from around Global IT
- Writing the editorial together with the CIO
- Editing and publishing the newsletter
You will also take ownership of our new intranet for Global IT, by:
- Facilitating the editorial board
- Supporting its maintenance
- Ensuring continuous improvement
Furthere more, you will take charge of the annual communication plan for recurring activities in Global IT, by:
- Planning and keeping track of key activities across Global IT
- Preparing presentations
- Supporting the IT Management with execution of the activities
And finally, as you develop in your role, you will support prioritized projects with communication activities, e.g.:
- Creating a communication plan for the roll-out of an IT project
- Communicating the progress of the IT strategy
- Advancing the strategy for branding Demant Global IT externally
You will work 16-20 hours per week. We are flexible in scheduling your hours, especially during your exam periods – and once you are comfortable with your tasks and responsibilities, we offer great flexibility regarding working remotely.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a candidate that will bring passion to the job and a willingness to learn. You must be able to cooperate as well as see possibilities and act on them. You have a curious and outgoing mindset and can work independently with a wide set of tasks. The ideal candidate has work- or study-related experience that matches the primary tasks, and a desire to further develop the current communication activities and concepts.
We expect that you:
- Are currently a bachelor’s student or have just started your master’s degree
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
- Are fluent in written and spoken English
- Are comfortable taking ownership of and coordinating your own tasks
- Are proactive and comfortable working independently, as well as in a team
