We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-starter Intern that can help increase the impact of our efforts. An internship with our team is a way to gain valuable professional work experience in patient engagement and advocacy, learn a wide range of skill sets in public affairs/communication, project management and exercise your creativity.
About the department
We are part of the Global Public Affairs and Sustainability unit and are a team of diverse and passionate individuals who are responsible for patient engagement and patient advocacy strategies and activities. We develop long-term strategies and partnerships with patients and patient organisations that could have a positive and successful impact on patients and their outcomes. Additionally, we facilitate inclusion of patient voice within Novo Nordisk´s drug development processes and all relevant lifecycle functional responsibilities.
The position
The Patient Relations intern will be responsible for supporting advocacy and communications activities to improve our current DEEP engagement and management activities, such as DEEP newsletter, DEEP onboarding as well as supporting key engagement projects (e.g. DEEPTalks, DEEP Summit, Key online influencers events).
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Support and progressively lead communication tasks related to our DEEP management
• Project management on key upcoming events, including content/agenda creation, speaker briefing, vendor management, budget
• Perform monthly analytics dashboard and performance review
• General office duties, such as maintenance of tools and virtual meeting coordination
Internship period: 6 months
Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week), yet a full-time internship is preferred
Start date: 1 October 2020
Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
A Danish full time work permit is required
Qualifications
• The student has to be enrolled in university either at Bachelor or Master level (during the whole duration of the internship)
• You preferably study public affairs/ communication
• Strong written, oral and analytical skills. Excellent English command is required
• Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office systems required
• Experience with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.
• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines
• Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner
• Able to prioritise and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
