Are you a strong communicator, who is keen on strengthening STRING’s visibility through diverse communication channels? And are you interested in being a driving force in the secretariat of a political organisation? Then you might be our new student assistant in the STRING Secretariat!
STRING is a political cross-border organisation consisting of seven regions and five cities from Hamburg to Oslo. Together we are working to become a Northern European megaregion, globally acknowledged as a Green Hub for clean technologies and a leading implementer of sustainable infrastructure solutions to combat climate change while improving the lives of our citizens.
We are looking for an ambitious, self-driven and outgoing student assistant, who has solid communication skills and who can help us lift our administrative services. As a student assistant in STRING you will get responsibility for various tasks, while at the same time getting an insight in political processes at the local, regional, national and EU-level. We offer flexible working hours and we expect you to work approx. 15-20 hours per week. You will work in our Copenhagen office and will join a dynamic team of 5 skilled and dedicated colleagues. Ideally you will join our team by August 1st, 2020 or as soon as possible.

Our ideal candidate is probably finishing his/her Bachelor degree and is starting the Master degree in communication, journalism, political science, business administration or another relevant degree after the summer. You have some relevant working experience e.g. from a previous student position and you are fluent in spoken and written English and one of the Scandinavian languages. It is an advantage to have a solid understanding of all Scandinavian languages and/or German.

- Manage our Twitter and LinkedIn account, including copywriting the content
- Draft press releases
- Preparation of meeting material and presentations
- Continuously update of our homepage
- Optimise our SEO tasks
- Assist in the arrangement of internal and external meetings
- Conduct background research and administrative ad-hoc tasks
