Kopenhagen Fur is looking for an experienced Communications Officer
To join our dedicated Communications & Press Department, Kopenhagen Fur is looking for an ambitious and experienced Communications Officer with excellent writing skills, strategic understanding and an international outlook.
Kopenhagen Fur is cooperatively owned by the members of the Danish Fur Breeders Association founded in 1930. We are the world’s leading provider of fur skins, recognized for exceptional quality. The core business is centered around four annual auctions taking place in the auction house in Glostrup where fur skins collected in Europe and North America are sold to international skin dealers.
We wish to step up our communication efforts aimed at fur buyers and fur breeders abroad to strengthen Kopenhagen Fur’s position as the world’s largest and most successful fur auction. To do so, we are hiring a
Communications Officer whose focal point will be developing and executing communication towards international fur buyers and fur breeders, selling their skins through Kopenhagen Fur. You will also take part in preparing and executing corporate communications aimed at broader target groups and press handling.
You have experience with storytelling and journalistic angling gained through at least 2 years of experience as a journalist, copywriter, content creator, communications officer or similar. You work professionally with different media types including print, web and video. You speak and write fluently in English as you will create communication predominantly in English. However, you must also be fluent in speaking and writing Danish. You have a commercial mindset and you can think strategically.
You will be part of a team of four ambitious and highly professional communication professionals. We plan and execute communication targeting our owners, the Danish fur breeders, corporate communications and press handling.

You perform well under deadlines and feel at ease both working on individual projects as well as being part of a team. You take responsibility, are service minded and have a good sense of humor. You should also have a minimum of two years of experience as a copywriter, journalist, content specialist, communications officer or similar. You hold a degree in journalism or communications.

- Communication aimed at foreign fur breeders
- Planning and writing content for Kopenhagen Fur’s extranet FarmCockpit and MyKopehagenFur
- Planning and writing content for newsletters
- Participate in cross-cutting communication tasks
Competencies and experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercial and creative mindset
- Copywriting/content creation for all platforms
- Fluency in English and Danish
- Video production
- Proficient in Umbraco and Adobe Premier Pro
