We are looking for sharp and highly energetic, new colleague to be responsible for freight-in and freight-out in the Nordic setup of Reckitt Benckiser Nordic, a leading multinational player within hygiene and health.

About the position


In the role as Nordic Customer Service and Logistics Manager you will deliver an outstanding Customer Service in local markets with optimal costs, by strengthening the collaboration between Logistics, Customer Service and internal/external busines partners.

The role reports to the Nordic Supply Chain Manager who is responsible for all movement, storage and distribution of materials and goods in the organization. There will be four direct reports to the role. Your main workplace will be in Søborg at the Nordic Headquarters, where you will work with around 80 colleagues. Please note that travelling is expected of the role.

The only warehouse in Nordic is placed close to Malmø, Sweden suppling Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

Job responsibilities


The overall objective of the role is to deliver on the agreed customer service strategy. You will also oversee the movement, distribution, and storage of all materials in the organization together with your team as well as the extended Supply Chain team. You and your team will be covering four key markets and three major categories as well as supporting the business optimizing cost and ensuring high service level.

You will be responsible for a smooth, daily operations and cooperation with a third-party service provider and all business stakeholders in Reckitt Benckiser Nordic. It is important that you understand local customer’s service needs and that you, together with the team, develop, implement, follow up and support action-plans meeting agreed KPI´s on service and cost.

Other responsibilities


  • Control the flow of products from the factory through the warehouse and up to a distribution to the customer to ensure the best customer service and most efficient logistics.
  • Team development: To coach the team to deliver a high-quality standard of customer service and to set-up appropriate objectives, projects, and visions for their deployment.
  • To investigate and solve customers’ issues, that have been passed on by customer service which may be complex and long-standing.
  • To ensure focus within the team to improve and develop customer relationship for optimal collaboration such as, but not limited to, KPI tracking and reporting, Master Data, Collaborative forecast, MOQ, order review and efficiency.
  • To continuous seek out new possibilities for improving the Nordic Customer Service and Logistic area, by using key stakeholders and supply network.
  • To take commercial lead for tenders on distribution and warehousing, including contract negotiation with the Global Procurement team.
  • To be responsible for negotiating fees and charges on any ad-hoc/needed request on top of negotiated contract rates.
  • To proactively plan, drive and manage projects aiming at improving efficiency and cost.

Professional experience


We prefer candidates with a minimum of five years of experience within supply chain in Nordic setups. Preferably he/she could also come with a short background of being a manager, however this is not a requirement. The candidate has a suitable, academic background preferably within in supply chain.

It is important that the candidate has a proactive, dynamic approach and reaches conclusions by using both data and his/her analytical skills. In a complex organization with many stakeholders, we take it for granted, that the candidate is experienced both in communicating and driving cross functional projects with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate must be able to support the team, give clear instructions and necessary feedback for them to continuously deliver at a high level and to continuously develop.
