Then maybe you’re our new colleague. We are looking for an experienced IT Server and Network supporter who can join our IT department. You will get a role where you will share the teams support responsibilities for systems and users in our global organization. Your primary focus will be on Server/Network operation and support. Next to this you may join various digitalization projects to bring Svendborg Brakes forward.

You will be part of a local IT department which is on its journey into a larger global corporate IT organization with multiple sites around the globe. Your primary responsibility area will be backend operation and user support with focus on server and network solutions. Your secondary focus will be helping your counterpart who has focus on frontend user solutions.

Together with the global virtual team, you will be designing, implementing and operating different solutions. It is also preferred that you have the willingness and skill to help the team to unite and corporate with the global organization.

Over time the role will have the option to expand into the digitalizing of Svendborg Brakes and/or join one of the global operation teams.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of IT backend infrastructure and digitalization technology. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot IT solutions. Your skills to align and work with others local as well as international, where you gentle can convince them of the need for strong global corporation and IT setup.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Operation and support within backend solutions (server and network)
  • Application support and operation within backend solutions (ERP, engineering software etc.)
  • Direct end-user support
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving IT system related problems.
  • Responsible for documentation including disaster recovery plan
  • Responsible for education of end-users within your area
  • Ensure and share valid and useful documentation and knowledge
  • Be proactive by monitoring IT systems and performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
  • Participate in future IT design inclusive testing of new technology when needed
  • Run or participate in infrastructure projects
  • SLA reporting within own area
  • Together with others, ensure that the IT will move global from local within your responsibility area

Your Secondary Responsibilities

  • Participate in digitalization & integrations projects (e.g. virtual reality, Cloud, integrations, IIoT, robots, automatization etc.)
  • Help on enhancing interactions between departments on digital processes
  • Be local backup and hands-on for
    • Client side operation (Backup for the local team)
    • Global Server and Network operation (help to global teams)
    • Security (help to global security team)

  • During vacations and illness be the local backup and hands-on for 1st line and other teams

Your Qualifications

  • The right candidate holds at least several years of experience of IT operation and support
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure with the ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
  • Solid hands-on experience with server & network
  • Good general IT understanding and excellent guide in pursuing optimal usage of the IT foundation
  • Ability to create accurate documentation.
  • Preferred experience with security and SOX reporting or similar
  • Flexible and be willing to work with a lot of different colleagues you may never meet physically (extrovert)
  • Great skills in English, both in writing and orally – your workday will be +50% in English
  • Technical Project Management skills is also seen as an advantage

Your Profile:

  • Professional and proactive attitude and preferred experience from global IT organizations
  • Preferable a structured mindset and documentation skills
  • On your own be able to be pick-up the “ball” and get it into the “goal” when it is needed
  • Good interpersonal skills and a cheerful attitude
  • Great overview and are able to set actions into motion with respect for time schedules and specifications
  • Be able to and ready for limited international travel
