The job – roles and responsibilities
The department you will join is responsible for analysis and characterization of new molecules and for development and analysis of new products for the early clinical trials.
As analytical Technician you will have a varied job and each day will look different. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will be responsible for analytical work to characterize and stability test
The techniques that are being used for the analytical work is typically chromatographic methods (HPLC/UHPLC) with different detection principles such as UV, PDA and MS. But other techniques are also being used such as water determination by Karl Fischer, SFC, dissolution testing, pH measurements etc.
The analytical methods are developed and validated in the department and the associated sample preparation is an inherent part of the work.
The work is predominately done under non-GMP, however analytical work under GMP may be required and will be done in collaboration with colleagues in the GMP area.

- new molecules from the Research function and
- new formulations developed by colleagues in the department.

The work is predominately done under non-GMP, however analytical work under GMP may be required and will be done in collaboration with colleagues in the GMP area.
Main responsibilities
- Perform and document analytical laboratory work
- Report results including data processing in Electronic Lab Notebook. For HPLC/UHPLC we use Empower for data handling
- Participate in analytical method development and validation studies
- Support on documentation tasks such as drafting Work instructions and other relevant documents
- Support the maintenance of the laboratory incl. equipment, chemical supplies and consumables
