Dragonfly Therapeutics is looking for a senior/principal technician with a passion for protein purification and characterization to join our dedicated Biologics team in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The successful candidate will be a key member of Dragonfly’s talented and collaborative team, contributing to the discovery and development of novel immunotherapies for treatment of cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases.
The successful candidate will perform studies and develop innovative methods for purification and biophysical/chemical characterization of a wide variety of mono-, bi- and tri-specific antibody formats and be a central player in providing data on discovery candidates for lead selection. Responsibilities
- Purification and optimization of downstream processing of antibodies, to support candidate profiling and guide lead selection for Dragonfly's discovery projects.
- Provide biophysical and biochemical characterization data to support selection of antibody candidates with superior developability profiles and a clear path towards CMC development.
- Collaborate with the global Biologics team and cross functional project groups to support production and characterization of antibody candidates for successful progression of our discovery projects.
- Implement technologies for kinetic analysis of protein-protein interactions, e.g. SPR, in the DK Biologics team.
- Explore and implement new technologies to improve Dragonfly’s antibody purification and characterization capabilities.
- Analyze data, interpret and communicate results including providing input to technical reports and internal/external project presentations.
- Ensure timely, high-quality and appropriate documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks.
Qualifications
- An educational background as Laboratory Technician within the field of protein biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience from industry, preferably within biotherapeutic drug discovery.
- Strong hands-on experience with protein purification, using different affinity-, IEX-, HIC- or SEC-based chromatographic methods.
- Extensive practical knowledge on purification of antibodies and Fc-fusion proteins using ÄKTA pure, ÄKTA avant or similar chromatography systems.
- Expertise in protein biochemistry and analytical characterization using chromatographic, electrophoretic and other methods, such as HPLC-based assays, DSF, DLS, cIEF and CE-SDS for protein characterization.
- Experience with protein-protein interaction analyses by SPR, ELISA, MST or other methods is highly desirable.
- Highly motivated with a quality and detail-oriented mind-set and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively, provide input and communicate clearly both written and orally in English.
- Excellent record keeping abilities to document analytical data.
