Do you want to manage and improve a variety of raw material analyses in a highly professional QC laboratory? In that case you should apply for the new position as chromatography chemist in QC Raw Materials.

About the department

Your new department, QC Raw Materials, consists of 80 employees which are located in Hillerød. You will join the Analytical Support team, which is responsible for the chemical control of raw materials and excipients for use within R&D and Product Supply.

Of analyses we have a broad variety of GC, GC-HS, IC, HPLC, UPLC, IR, UV, ID, titrations, DSC, viscosity, pH/conductivity and others. We co-operate with a variety of functions, including purchase, storage/warehouse and Quality Assurance (QA).

The Position

Your primary focus will be on chromatography analyses (GC, GC-HS, HPLC with UV/RI/ELS/PDA detector, UPLC and IC) as you come with the broad understanding of analytical methods and so. You will be responsible for several analytical methods and for securing that the analytical flow is aligned with our customers’ expectations along with regulatory compliance.

Your daily work will be in close collaboration with chemists and laboratory technicians to approve raw materials and thereby enable a continuously high pace in the production. An essential part of the work is support to laboratory technicians in their daily operations to ensure that the analytical performance and equipment live up to the industry standard.

Secondary you will among other things be responsible of method development and validation, pharmacopeia monitoring and updates, handling of change requests, deviations, laboratory investigations and OOS results. A high GMP and compliance mind-set is thus required.
In general, you can foresee different project assignments that enable us to work faster and smarter within the department and across the organization.

Qualifications

You hold a master’s degree in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences. Ideally, you have a background from the pharmaceutical industry and experience within chemical QC analysis.

It is required that you have a minimum of 1 to 2 years working experience on sample analysis by using different chromatography techniques (GC, GC-HS, HPLC with UV/RI/ELS/PDA detector, UPLC and IC).

You have gained in-depth knowledge of working with GMP in a laboratory environment and experience using Empower and Chromeleon is an advantage.

On a personal level, you contribute positively to our team and enjoy working with people from different professional backgrounds who are dedicated towards meeting our common goals. You are eager to see things moving forward in a dynamic environment where projects and processes vary which demands the need for your flexibility. You work well independently, although it also motivates you to cooperate with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments.

Lastly, you must have fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
