MDs are at the very heart of our clinical research and development as well as our business. They are our medical specialists responsible for developing new therapies for chronic diseases by providing their medical input and expertise for our clinical research and development.

As MD in Novo Nordisk you get to use both your medical and scientific skills and experience taking part in the development of new therapies for patients globally. You will also have the important task of sharing new insights with physicians and researchers all over the world and you will experience how the work you do has a global impact on the results we deliver. In short, our MDs at Novo Nordisk play a global key role in all the different stages of the clinical research and drug development process.

About Medical & Science

Right now, we are looking for an MD to join our Medical & Science Department in Obesity & Metabolism. In our Medical & Science departments, MDs are responsible for providing medical and scientific input to the clinical trial programme and other important activities needed for, getting our drugs through the regulatory approval process, and eventually into clinical use. You will play a leading role in designing clinical trials, providing medical oversight in the trial conduct phase, interpret and document trial results and support submissions to health authorities. You will also have a key role in data analyses, publication and communication externally to scientific experts.

As an MD you will become a part of a small team of other dedicated MDs and experts, with various medical backgrounds. We highly value collaboration and sparring across and you will experience becoming a part of an ambitious team focusing on succeeding together to improve the life of patients.

You may expect travel activity around 15-30 days pr. year. The workplace is our office buildings in Søborg, Denmark.

Qualifications

The level of experience we are looking for when hiring MDs varies and depends on many aspects. Clinical and scientific experience are needed, preferentially at PhD level. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry is not mandatory.

Stakeholder management and the ability to engage and motivate people are key to your success and you should have a genuine interest in understanding the people you are working with throughout the phases of a given project.

It is essential that you have a strong analytical mind-set and good communication and training skills. You are flexible, open-minded and a dedicated team player with the ability to take on an informal leadership role. In addition, you thrive in a global environment of continuous and fast development with focus on high quality and results.

English is our corporate language and fluency in both spoken and written English is therefore required.
