Due to an increase in student numbers, the International School Ikast-Brande (ISIB) in Denmark is looking for a Cambridge trained primary school teacher, preferably with experience teaching students at Year 5 or Upper Primary.
Interviews will be arranged immediately as the Leadership Team would like to recruit as soon as possible. If you are a motivated and highly skilled teacher, then please apply by sending your CV and letter detailing your educational philosophy and experience to [email protected] .

The School:
The International School Ikast-Brande is in the Heart of Denmark. It has approximately 210 students on roll spread over the Primary and Secondary sections. Class sizes are limited to 22 students. Our students are highly motivated and extremely positive about our school. The school is committed to providing high-quality international education to families moving to Denmark and students from the surrounding area seeking a more international education for their children. Our students come from many different countries and nationalities providing a rich and diverse school environment. We encourage our students to find the balance between academic success and a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle. We instil in our students from a very early age the principles of right and wrong, allowing them to make good decisions. This in turn has created a positive environment where very few disciplinary issues arise. Both staff and students look forward to coming to school and working together. The school exceeds international grade averages year upon year but maintains a friendly and supportive culture in line with the school mission.
The school is located in an area with large international companies in the wind and textile industry and thus a diverse group of expats.

Salary is per the collective agreement and union contract entered between the Ministry of Finance and the Teachers Central Organisation. Please note that both local and international teachers work in the same pay scales.

- Be a Cambridge trained teacher – or something equivalent.
- Plan, develop and deliver engaging lessons to students
- Manage student behaviour positively
- Be student-focused and have a positive mindset
- Have creative skills to teach engaging lessons
- Ensure student wellbeing through understanding the whole child and their individuality
- Assess and report progress of all learners
- Participate in whole school activities and events
- Good sense of humour
- Internationally minded with a strong team spirit!
