Research Focus and Desired Expertise:

The Molecular Neuroscience and Genetics lab is dedicated to understanding the many important roles of dopamine in human physiology and behaviors with a particular emphasis on the following key areas:

  1. Understanding the mechanistic basis and functional implications of dopamine dynamics across timescales and how these dynamics sustain and integrate region-specific dopamine functions.
  2. Exploring the dynamic nanoarchitecture of dopamine boutons and its role in modulating dopamine dynamics.
  3. Cellular and behavioral decoding of dopamine signals

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to bridge these fields from a translational disease perspective with focus how changes in dopamine neuronal physiology are implicated in the pathobiological processes.

Applicants should have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree with relevant postdoctoral training and a demonstrated track record of outstanding accomplishment.
