Would you like to be part of installing inline printing capabilities across our global production organisation? Do you know pharmaceutical secondary packaging on a world-class level and thrive by working in projects with both local and global scope?

Do you thrive in a fast-paced project environment, where you a key player in the design, implementation, and ramp-up of new packaging lines, equipment, and processes?

Then you might be who we are looking for to join the packaging team of DMD (Device Manufacturing Development) Assembly and Packaging.

About the department

In DMD Assembly and Packaging, the packaging team is Novo Nordisk’s premier centre of knowledge concerning packaging processes and equipment. We provide this world-class knowledge to both our running production and the many projects within packaging at Novo Nordisk.

You will join a team of 15 packaging engineers and specialists based in Hillerød in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD).

The job

In your job you will work as a very hands-on technical expert and resource our upcoming efforts into maturing and rolling out inline printing capabilities for our production lines doing secondary packaging. Rolling out a new technology in a running global production is no simple task, and you can expect to work on both developing and maturing the technology as well as being directly involved in the actual implementations.

You are expected to be able to drive technical discussions with vendors, write URS and test plans, rethink and challenge how we do things today, and finally to be able to drive qualification activities and trouble shoot concrete challenges on the production lines as inline printing is rolled out.

You can expect that similar roles can become relevant in other projects related to secondary packaging. As DMD is often deeply involved in specifying and purchasing new equipment/production lines, most of the team are involved in several projects.

As DMD is also responsible for identifying and maturing new technologies for usage in our global production organisation, you should be comfortable driving such processes from initial idea to proof-of-concept.

To ensure that you are up-to-date on the newest challenges within our global production organisation, you will also be part of our day-to-day support to our packaging lines. Here you provide expert input on how to solve deviations, change requests, and help our sites address the many challenges faced by a global production organisation.

As a packaging expert working with our global production organisation you can expect an amount of travel activity to support packaging lines as far away as China and Brazil. 30-40 days travelling can be expected per year, both in- and outside of Europe depending on the projects you work on.

Qualifications

You have a relevant education, preferably academic, such as M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, laying a solid foundation for your 5-10 years of experience with packaging processes and projects, preferably at least two years of actual production experience. Experience from a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical packaging environment is an expectation, and experience from Novo Nordisk production is a plus.

You have a global mindset and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with high expectations to your ability to drive results both individually and through others. A systematic approach to problem solving addressing problems at root cause is your natural way of working.

DMD has a solid expertise in on-boarding non-locals and we welcome non-local applicants, willing to relocate to the Greater Copenhagen area in Denmark. For this reason, and because we frequently collaborate with international business partners, we all speak English at work.
