We are looking for an Student Assistant to join our Logistics and Services Decarbonisation Team. Working in our Decarbonisation team means you are working on something pretty exciting: shaping Maersk’s journey to reduce climate impact of our logistics services while driving exciting innovations such as electrification and automation.
You will join a growing and diverse team, where we support each other and play each our part. More About The Role
As a Student Assistant you will be a key support for our Decarbonisation Program Managers in supporting our regional and area teams to establish roadmaps, analysing business impact and driving the execution by establishing reporting systems, developing global best practices and provide trainings. Your scope of work will cover our Landside Transportation (i.e. moving containers by heavy-duty truck, rail or barge) and Contract Logistics (i.e. warehouses, container depots, ...) business.
You will
• Engage with our regional and area teams to gather information around progress towards 2030 targets and consolidate for a global view
• Assist in preparing management reports
• Assist in developing internal communication and training
• Communicate with regional and area teams to plan Decarb Roll Out workshops
We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you
• Currently studying on your first year of a Master’s Degree or last year of Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field and background in sustainability (e.g., engineering, business administration or similar)
• Curiosity for the world of logistics
• Love a good challenge and handle ambiguity with a smile
• Self-driven and able to work independently, but co-create with others
• Able to break down complex issues and solve them, strives for simplicity
• Are well versed in PowerPoint, Excel, and ideally Power BI
• Fluency in verbal and written English is a must
The expected workload is 20 hours per week, with flexibility in relation to school and exams. The start date is as soon as possible. The Decarbonisation team is part of Maersk’s headquarter campus located at Esplanaden, Copenhagen.
