Are you interested in developing a good overview of an offshore oil and gas production installation, and in developing a high knowledge of the process, utility and safety systems from the Central Control Room and field work? If yes, then this position at Total in Esbjerg might be your match!
Key Responsibilities
Overall, you have the responsibility of participating actively in the training program for Operator Trainees in Denmark or abroad. Furthermore, you will provide strong support to the Production Team. You will participate in the daily work under the guidance of the colleagues to attain the knowledge required to become an Operator, capable of working independently.

As Operator Trainee in the Production team on our Offshore Installations, you will be able to shape and develop a central role with great influence in the production team’s daily work and duties in order to learn and attain the required skills and knowledge. This is with the possibility to continuously learn and develop your competencies when following the training program for Operators Trainees and engaging actively with experienced operators and other staff to gather understanding and experience in the various systems on the installation. You will get to use your knowledge and experience applying a range of techniques from your training program and ensuring progression by following up with the Production Superintendent.

- Contribute to ensure that process safety conditions are safeguarded before and after the execution of activities.
- Contribute to ensure that all tasks are evaluated and planned prior to commencement.
- Assist your production team as instructed by Chief Production Operator or Production Superintendent.
- Participate in the various daily operations carried out in production (including lab. Tech and CCR duties) to gain understanding and experience with various tasks.
- Become acquainted with the Operator roles in connection with emergencies and the roles on the duty roster.
- Contribute to ensure that all activities are performed in a cost-effective manner
- Facilitate the site HSE performance strategy
- Contribute to HSE action plan (HSE dossier, SIMOPS, integrity threats, downgraded situations, major risks, dead legs etc.)
- Contribute to reinforce company initiatives (3C, LEAN, visual management, Perfect day, safety+, 5S, Digital etc.…)

Your background
- Recently qualified Marine Engineer or qualified within automation, electrical or mechanical area
- Theoretical knowledge of process and chemistry
- Knowledge of Danish is an advantage
- Proficiency in oral and written English
