As our new Shipping Manager in Terma, you will be responsible for the shipping departments located in our HQ in Lystrup and the department located at our production facility in Grenaa. The shipping team is well established, and you will work closely together with Procurement, Sourcing and Warehouse & Logistics as an integral part of our Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM) organization.

As our new Shipping Manager in Terma, you will be responsible for the shipping departments located in our HQ in Lystrup and the department located at our production facility in Grenaa. The shipping team is well established, and you will work closely together with Procurement, Sourcing and Warehouse & Logistics as an integral part of our Supply Chain & Quality Management (SCQM) organization.
Your responsibilities will cover:
- Leading and managing a team of 4 highly motivated colleagues
- Leading the shipping operations including customs-reporting & inspections and inward processing
- Driving, monitoring, and reporting on new and existing shipping KPI’s within SCQM
- Driving cross-functional business- and process improvements in Terma, e.g., ERP implementations and automatization projects within the shipping area
- Managing Terma’s preferred freight forwarder and the cooperation with external shipping suppliers

How to succeed in this position?
Your success in this role highly depends on your ability to manage stakeholders by means of communication and how you handle existing changes and cope with implementing new ones within a matrix organization.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- hold a MSc or similar relevant commercial or shipping education
- have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- have experience as a department manager or team leader
- have an analytical and problem-solving mindset
- be able to facilitate change, challenge status quo and seek for efficiency
- experience within supply chain/shipping is a plus, but not a prerequisite
In addition you:
- are fluent in written and spoken English
- have stakeholder management and communication as some of your strongest skills, enabling you to communicate with colleagues in a value-adding way, being a skilled relationship builder, and able to navigate in a complex stakeholder landscape
- are self-driven, result-oriented, and not afraid of taking a stand, - always acting with a high level of integrity
- are well-structured and able to solve complex problems without compromising quality
- have a strong personality and are able to apply your social skills and empathy to create meaningful partnerships
