Key responsibilities


As our new team member, you will become part of the Strategic Insights team and own our external- and internal-facing marketing strategy, including communication, branding and events management.

Your key responsibility is to:

• Increase awareness about Maersk Growth amongst target internal and external audiences to improve the perception and position of Maersk Growth as a credible corporate investor and knowledgeable value-adding partner

• This means that your function will support building our profile to increase our deal flow and access to the best deals, have a trustworthy and valued voice in the ecosystem and engage with the relevant audiences on our online platforms

Select key responsibilities include:
External Marketing & Branding:

• Elevate our brand to the next level, build and implement the strategic roadmap of our external marketing and communication supporting the Maersk Growth strategy

• Lead and collaborate with our fantastic communications student, Frida, who manages all our social media channels, creates engaging content for our followers, develops our online presence and much more

• Measure and analyze our social media and news coverage performance and use it to derive actionable insights

• Optimize and develop the visual profile of Maersk Growth under the general Maersk guidelines and ensure consistency across all our channels (website, SoMe)

• Develop all marketing assets such as blog posts, press releases, key announcements, newsletters, podcasts, campaigns, panels, conference presentations etc. to help us reach and captivate our target audiences

• Collaborate with Maersk Communication, Branding and Marketing teams on large-scale major announcements and coordinate content to identify opportunities to leverage other Maersk channels and collateral

• Be responsible for external event management from defining the strategy and objectives to marketing, planning and executing events like tech conferences, networking events, startup forums and workshops in collaboration with our office manager and team of very helpful students

Internal Communication:

• Develop Maersk Growth key messages, narrative, and general intro material for the business

• Work closely with your leader, the Head of Strategic Insights, to package and convert strategic external insights about the startup ecosystem and research studies, into simple and concrete collateral to inform and inspire our colleagues in the core business

• Support our office manager in the planning and execution of internal events like fireside chats, startup portfolio days, and ‘innovation corners’ for the wider Maersk teams

We are looking for


We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have a solid understanding of social media and community management – you love to nerd algorithm changes and how to increase reach to relevant target groups efficiently

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You truly enjoy writing and are a convincing storyteller

• Master the balance between internal and external communication and can tweak a story from one target audience to another without jeopardizing the coherency

• Have the creative flare and skill to develop a diverse set of compelling marketing assets

• Can manage projects and events with drive, structure, and discipline which is second to none

• Are genuinely passionate about the start-up and investment ecosystem. If you have had your own business, worked with a start-up or have VC-industry experience, well then double-yay!

• Love a good challenge and handle ambiguity with a smile

• Can make everything look great visually using tools such as Canva or PowerPoint

• Have great stakeholder management skills – you can build rapport and work across all levels

• Are often described as someone who has high energy and is loved for that by your colleagues!
