Identify and unlock new business opportunities
As Brand Manager, Upstream Innovation you will support the SVP and Director of Upstream Innovation of GBU Marketing in building this new business opportunity and taking it into new commercial 360 product and marketing solutions. Furthermore, you will ensure delivery by leading a global cross-functional team of external and internal experts and stakeholders, curiously testing boundaries and firmly reaching the goals and getting things done.

As part of this, you will:

  • Help build the innovation strategy and innovation road map, unlocking new growth opportunities and influencing the direction of the new category of the future
  • Identify how our presence in this category can lead the jewellery industry through technology and break-through innovation
  • Gather near-term and long-term insights on consumers, the competitive landscape, manufacturing, and the business
  • Translate insights into clear objectives and actions and ensuring strong progress and learning all the way through to market
  • Create, communicate, and qualify compelling concepts and oversee the creative execution of these across both product and marketing
  • Act as an internal ambassador for the category, stimulating and inspiring an innovative mindset as well as continuously helping to build and improve the innovation toolbox of the company
  • Develop communication programming across modern media channels and innovate in this space as it continues to evolve

You are a result-driven and action-oriented individual who focuses on executing, getting things done and delivering on targets.

Adding to that, we envision that you have and can demonstrate:

  • Marketing Strategy and Innovation Experience – minimum 5 years of best-in-class marketing experience from similar roles
  • A Marketing Innovation Toolbox – passionate about brand building based on profound marketing innovation toolbox, leveraging new tech as one of the key enablers of new product and experience solutions
  • Strategic Business Acumen – highly commercially-minded marketer with a deep understanding of the market
  • A bias towards studying results and taking fast action to increasingly drive ROI and other KPIsStakeholder Management – excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organization as well as across functions
  • An interest, and ideally experience, in sustainable business practices and communicating those as part of the consumer value equation.International Experience – experience from global environments within the consumer electronics or FMCG industries
  • Postgraduate diploma in a relevant field (Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or Economics)
