YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT
As a member of the Global Communications team, you’ll be responsible for researching, finding, planning, creating, writing and publishing content across all our platforms, in other words you will work as an in-house journalist. You’ll be our Editor in Chief of our global editorial calendar, and you’ll make sure that we have fresh stories to tell. Every day. In a normal week we publish 5+ times.
You’ll liaise with the entire Milestone organization and can expect strong support from your fellow storytellers in Global Communications.
You will:
- Monitor and analyze our activities on social media
- Ensure balance and diversity in our story mix - from feel good stories to strategic opinion pieces
- Participate in and report from events
- Interview partners and customer
- Give input to social media strategies and ensure alignment with editorial media strategies.
- As our department copy writer: Pen thought leader articles on platform economy, innovation, video technology, and company culture – but also do copy at everyday social media activities
- Perform close collaborations with Marketing on long term (strategic and tactic) planning and executing on partner communications activities
- Copy and translate our Employer Value Proposition into engaging stories that convey what it is we offer new colleagues
- Drive, engage, and publish our monthly newsletter to tens of thousands of partners worldwide; the Partner Business Update.
- Work across our entire marcom group, interfacing and aligning projects with a wide range of functions and stakeholders.
- Proof reading of copy that is generated in Global Communications
- Be a part of building our new Newsroom, an online media portal
PLEASED TO MEET YOU
We’ll be spending a lot of time together, so it's vital that you share our vision and embrace our culture. If we were to profile you, we’d say that you have:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience working for international companies
- Experience in the high-tech industry
- A background in communications or journalism
- Excellent business and creative writing skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
- Outstanding digital and social media skills
You’re a fast thinker with an abundance of ideas. You love to create, you have your ducks in a row, and you know how to roll with the punches. And of course, a reliable team player.
You’ll report to the Communications Manager, responsible for Social Media and Internal Communications, and work out of Greater Copenhagen, Denmark.
Global Communications is responsible for corporate PR, product PR, public affairs, executive communications, internal communications, B2B communications with our business partners, and social media. With regional Global Communications offices in Portland and Singapore and a time difference of 16 hours from East to West, some days might require you to rise before the sun and others that you burn the midnight oil in order to entertain media requests or participate in Skype meetings. You can expect around 40 travel days a year.
