Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing at Zealand Pharma you will be part of the Commercial Development team. You will be responsible for developing and running the brand strategy process, the brand development, medical communications efforts and other relevant commercial processes in regards to successful launches into selected key markets, with the US market as a key priority.
The position does not include any managerial responsibilities at the time, but as the organisation is growing rapidly, things might look different going forward.
With direct report to Vice President, Head of Commercial Development.
Your main tasks are:
Your qualifications are a minimum of 10 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry within sales and marketing with the U.S. diabetes market as a primary focus. You have demonstrated impact in securing excellent product launch and with development and execution of product strategy and tactical programs in the U.S. and Europe. Furthermore, you have experience with building and managing KOL relations, patient advocacy groups, and public stakeholders and a proven track record in managing activities with agencies for medical communication, HCP/patient/caregiver communi-cation, creative and branding activities. Finally, solid business understanding of the operational cross functional activities and priorities when commercializing a pharmaceutical product is to be expected.
You have a Master’s Degree within Business or Life Sciences, but solid, documented experience from a similar role is most important. You have excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
You are a person who is able to motivate others, and you are an excellent team-player and collaborator. You have experience working in a matrix organization, and a documented track record of advancing projects. You put the patient first and you are open to challenges, adaptable, and you thrive in a dynamic environment. It is important that you are passionate about creating a sustainable footprint bringing new medicines and associated solutions forward to patients.

Travelling: 20–30 days per year, mainly to the U.S.

- Projects within diabetes with Dasiglucagon Emergency Use being the lead project
- Drive product development and strategy for optimal competitive position through cross functional Core Team and collaboration with the broader commercial organization
- Ensure collaboration with new U.S. team to secure the global strategy is built on U.S. learnings and adapted to other key markets
- Act as a trusted advisor to the VP Head of Commercial Development and represent the company towards external as well as internal parties in a diligent and competent way
