About the department
The Other Serious Chronic Disease (OSCD) Insights & Forecasting Department is a part of OSCD Commercial Unit, covering CVD, NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease, and CKD therapy areas. We’re a team of highly professional experts with a commercial/business/consulting background and different nationalities. We’re responsible for driving two critical functions: Generate key Customer Insights to bring patient- and HCP-level insights into core decisions for strategic brands, patient access, and R&D Analyse market dynamics, identify trends/events and forecast market development across the OSCD portfolio The overall purpose is to drive insightful analyses and recommendations that enable fact-based decision making in senior management and among key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
The Position
You will play a pivotal role in leading the forecasting efforts within CVD, NASH, Alzheimer’s Disease or CKD while working with a team of highly motivated, ambitious, and performance-driven colleagues. The role offers broad insights into Novo Nordisk’s worldwide business, active participation in cross-functional projects and international collaboration with teams across different functions and geographies. Your key tasks will include: Global responsible for Long Term Strategic Forecast within OSCD therapeutic areas Drive strategic analyses globally as well as assess the sales potential of late-stage development projects Analysis of data and critical business information from various sources to shape insights and recommendations to enable strategic decisions within OSCD Strong involvement in communicating key insights and analyses to relevant stakeholders across the organisation
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications: Master´s degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Business or Economics 5+ years of strong experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry from an analytical commercial role e.g., within sales forecasting, market analysis, commercial excellence, business development or finance, as well as robust numerical and analytical problem-solving Experience with epidemiology-based patient forecast will be an advantage but not a requirement High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint On a personal level, it is important that you can lead a cross-functional forecasting process with multiple stakeholders, work both independently and in teams (both as a leader and contributor), have solid communication and influencing skills and are fluent in English.
