Reporting to the Global Head of the Insulin Portfolio Unit, the Global Vice President (VP) will own the entire commercial, brand and go-to-market strategy for IcoSema globally and will lead the marketing team in preparing for the launch. The new VP will lead a cross-functional launch team to secure operational readiness of IcoSema in key affiliates.In collaboration with colleagues in the global project and marketing team, regional and affiliate offices, the new VP will:Own the strategic development of the entire brand strategy from aspiration, go-to market to brand launch package, ensuring launch readiness in top affiliates Drive positioning and portfolio strategies to secure optimal placement of Novo Nordisk’s fourth generation insulin Lead the development and co-creation of innovative commercial strategies and campaigns Lead commercial input and strategies into the development organisation as the asset is prepared for launch Act as the bridge between Global and Operations and lead the commercial brand team (CBT) consisting of the top 10 global affiliates
An essential part of this new VP’s success is connected to identifying where and how to focus our launch activities in a highly competitive market with substantial differences across regions. They will need to navigate through the varying needs and conditions of the insulin market, which depend not only on regional differences but also on how we maximise resources available locally.Qualifications
As a candidate for the role, you are an experienced strategic marketer with:Over 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing management experience coupled with people management responsibility Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen, to make informed commercial decisions. A proven track record of pre-launch, launch and execution of in-market brands strategies across a variety of market archetypes A proven track record of driving global strategic projects, from scoping to implementation A proven track record of campaign building and global brand management coupled with operational experience from an affiliate and/ or region Commercial knowledge of multi-channel engagement strategies An academic degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Medicine, or a related disciplines As a driven and purposeful leader, you bring exceptional people leadership capabilities and a passion for leading high-performing teams within a matrix organisation. Your strong business acumen, stakeholder management skills, and impactful communication style enable you to drive complex decision making with internal and external stakeholders alike.Above all, you are a true team player ready for an exciting and once in a life-time senior commercial role within a team of driven commercial professionals engaged in leading innovative commercial strategies and launches across the global organisation.The role is based in Denmark.About the department
The global Icodec & Insulin Portfolio unit within Commercial Strategy and Corporate Affairs (CSCA) is globally responsible for developing and commercialising the insulin portfolio of both in-market products as well as driving the launch strategy and execution of two pipeline assets that are currently in clinical development including IcoSema. The team is responsible for setting the global strategic direction for the portfolio of brands through a co-creation approach with both global, regional and affiliate stakeholders. Driving portfolio strategies and ensuring strong tactical programs and tools are available to operations is also part of the key roles and responsibilities.Contact
