The position The Obesity Strategy & Projects area provides long-term commercial leadership, directing product and port-folio development, with the CVP offering strategic leadership in a complex, evolving disease area, ensuring stakeholder alignment and clear prioritization. As CVP for Strategy & Projects you are the global commercial leader of obesity projects across the entire value chain and have the responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the obesity portfolio with an enterprise mindset that ensures we optimize across therapy areas and find win-win situations for the company. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Obesity, you will ensure that all projects align with the overall business strategy and are prepared for market success. This position requires strong leadership and the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries both upstream in HQ and downstream in the regions. Your main job tasks will include: • Lead and develop the CVP area with a focus on a purpose-driven culture and strong performance mindset in an open and honest culture. • Develop therapy area strategy based on the corporate strategy priorities. • Develop relationships and secure buy-in and support from internal and external stakeholders for strategy development & execution of our portfolio strategies. • Effectively manage all area budgets and related financial deliverables. • Ensure project and portfolio risks are reviewed, identified, flagged, and mitigated through the activities under the Project Development Plan and Therapy Area Strategy. Qualifications • Minimum 15 years of pharmaceutical experience. • At least 10 years of leadership experience with a proven track record in developing high-performing teams. • A deep understanding of product or drug development commercialization, including market development, regulatory, product supply, market access, financial management, and clinical or medical experience. • A track record in driving and implementing commercial strategies from early research through life cycle management. • Experience driving and implementing commercial strategies across the full value chain from early research through life cycle management. • Excellent stakeholder management skills based on a strategic and analytical mindset, including good communication and presentation skills. • Previous experience in a matrix environment, driving both global and local functions, including the ability to navigate complex multiple projects, delivering high-quality results on time. • A master's degree in business, medicine, or science or a combination of these fields.
