On behalf of Ballard Power Systems Europe A/S, Randstad is looking for a creative and self-motivated Content Marketing Specialist based in Germany. If you are a strategically-minded marketer with a passion for promoting technical products in the sustainable energy sector and have a track record of creating compelling content, this role is perfect for you.
Ballard Power Systems is the leading global provider of clean energy and fuel cell solutions. In Europe, Ballard’s focus is on the following key markets: Bus, Truck, Rail, Marine and Stationary Power Market. Ballard’s zero-emission fuel cell products provide solutions to some of the world’s most pressing environmental issues and opportunities.
As Ballard’s new Content Marketing Specialist, you will report directly to the Head of Communications based in the UK and join the global marketing team with colleagues in Denmark, the UK and Canada. In addition, you will be working closely with the global commercial and business development teams to meet the company’s growth objectives.
The position is based in Germany, working remotely from home; however, approx. 20% of your time may be required for travelling in Germany and throughout Europe, as well as to the European headquarters in Denmark and to the corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Canada.
- You will oversee content planning and development for the stationary power market and support the expansion of Ballard’s global marketing efforts in Europe
- You will write, edit, and publish thoughtful content to nurture and inform the audiences and support Ballard’s thought leadership initiatives
- Research content trends and collaborate with in-house creatives to produce a varied range of content, including case studies, blog posts, webinars, video scripts, product PR, whitepapers and collateral
- You will support events and presentations for customer facing meetings, shows and conferences
- Together with Ballard’s digital specialists, you will explore opportunities to extend content reach and measure conversion
- You will liaise with agency partners to develop premium content and support product launches
- Ballard’s customers are at the center of their marketing efforts, so you will seek to build relationships with the customer’s marketing teams and with industry associations to foster relationships to amplify content reach
- 5+ years of post-graduate marketing, communications or content creation experience
- A passion for promoting technical products and a track record of transforming complex information into compelling content
- Experienced in crafting content such as product news, blog posts, infographics, video scripts, interviews, web copy for a technical B2B audience
- A team player with strong communications skills and comfortable collaborating with team members across a global organization
- Fluent in English and German both spoken and written
- Previous experience in the sustainable energy sector is desirable
