Tower Internals is a Sub Module of the Tower Module within the Aerodynamic & Mechanical area in Vestas Power Solutions (Vestas R&D). Vestas Power Solution is a business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained, and tested. Vestas Power Solutions operates on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees.
Power Solutions, Tower module is the technology department responsible for the design and innovation of Vestas Towers. The Tower organization is 100+ strong responsible for the design, development, industrialization, and lifecycle support of tower products.
We are a team of diverse people with different technical competencies, educational backgrounds, and personal traits. We are very open-minded and encourage a go-do-approach.

Responsibilities
As part of the Tower Internals team, mainly working as part of multi-functional project teams across the value chain, you will need to:
- Identify & implement new technology projects in design of Tower Internals for Wind Turbines
- Ensure technical decisions to secure progress in the projects and direct technical reviews
- Identify and mitigate technical risks within the project scope
- Deliver and assist in developing/optimizing designs and design methodologies
- Deliver the technical solution within quality, time, and cost targets of the project
- Support to rectify or repair problems within the design phase
- Coordinate development of improvement solution & testing specifications for the solution
Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with solid proven experience of working in relevant similar field e.g. with experience of dynamically loaded structures
- Practical hands on experience in design of structures and validation at full scale / sub-structural level for prototype and testing related activities
- Experience with ANSYS would be beneficial as well as understanding of programming, e.g. Python or MATLAB, is desirable
- Experience with design of Towers for Wind Turbines or other Mast/Chimney structures is desirable
- Technical leadership skills & Technical project management experience would be preferred
- Exposure to multi-culture and international organization is desirable
Competencies
The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies:
- In-depth knowledge in Structural Mechanics of dynamically loaded structures is essential
- Value chain understanding with keen commercial awareness and understand the business implications of the technical decisions made during the project
- Broad Knowledge in Engineering Basics
- Systematic and problem solving-oriented
- Motivated team-oriented person who transmits energy and enthusiasm, encouraging a collaborative environment.
- Confident with effective communication skills
- Ability to plan, scope and organize work package execution
