Vattenfall is one of Europe´s largest electricity generators and producer of heat and operates in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Our strategy is to reduce emissions from power generation with a road map to archiving climate neutrality by 2050.
In Onshore Wind DK we operate 143 wind turbines in 12 different sites.
At the moment we are looking for two O&M Managers for our O&M Delivery organization .
One in DK North, which is under a Ramp Up to full inhouse service and maintenance setup.
One in DK South , where we operate sites and where we also are looking into Full Service contracts for some sites.
The one position is located in the Aalborg area and the other in the Esbjerg Area.
Overall purpose of the role
The O&M Manager is part of the DK O&M organisation and reports to the Vattenfall Onshore O&M Country Manager.
Your responsibilities as an Operations and Maintenance Manager:
• Monitor, analyse and manage the operational and HSE performance of DK North and South wind farms including the performance of our contractors.
• Responsible for planning long-term site maintenance, scheduled inspections and internal/external resources.
• Driving improvements on technical and financial performance of site, in close cooperation with the site teams and central support units like Technical Support, Surveillance Centre etc.
• Optimize site performance and report on performance KPIs: availability, cost, safety
• Responsibility for contract management with suppliers.
• Coordination activities for Service Leaders, who manage the day-to-day work on site.
• Ensure compliance with legal & contractual obligations on site
• Management of local stakeholders
• Variation and claims management.
• Coordinate renewal of Service Agreements
• Initiate, prepare and lead commercial discussions with suppliers
• Participate in Onshore Network of O&M/commercial managers
Education/Qualification:
• We are looking for candidates with technical and commercial education on bachelor level or similar experience or Marine Engineers. Working experience in a similar role for 3-5 years is preferred.
• Experience with management of HSE requirements is an advantage.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and take the initiative and to be a good team player.
• Skilled knowledge of WORD, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Good communication skills both verbally and in writing in English and Danish
• Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills;
• Some travel can be expected and work at heights in wind turbines (in accordance with GWO requirements ) occasionally.
• Organised, energetic, flexible and proactive.
