Are you looking for a new exciting opportunity in a global organisation and would like to be a part of a green energy transition? Currently, we are looking for an Assistant Lead Engineer to join our dedicated tool development team that is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design.
Manufacturing and Global Procurement Blades BLEC Mechanical Engineering
Vestas Blades Launch & Introduction Centre (BLEC) is a function within the Blades organisation in the Manufacturing organisation. The function is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects, development of processes and tooling of the blades in Vestas.
BLEC Tooling is focused on Developing and delivering production tools for the NPI projects and production. We are looking for a new colleague for our Mechanical Engineering team.

Manufacturing and Global Procurement Blades BLEC Mechanical Engineering
Vestas Blades Launch & Introduction Centre (BLEC) is a function within the Blades organisation in the Manufacturing organisation. The function is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects, development of processes and tooling of the blades in Vestas.
BLEC Tooling is focused on Developing and delivering production tools for the NPI projects and production. We are looking for a new colleague for our Mechanical Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Set safety as first priority, hereby in line with HS&E policy
- Case handler for Engineering Change Requests
- Build up professional competencies within own area
- Responsible for providing the most robust, reliable, efficient solutions with highest performance at the lowest cost
- Ensure robust validation of new tools, via structured and controlled execution of FAT, and SAT
- Participate in developing of new blade manufacturing tools, with focus on modularization
- Reviewing documentation from suppliers, in particular calculations and structural designs
Qualifications
- Engineering degree, either Bachelor or Master level, e.g. with a background as mechanic or blacksmith
- Knowledge and experience from calculations and structural design of machines and manufacturing tools
Competencies
- You are a team-oriented person, securing all deliverables to the highest quality standard
- Structured mindset, with specific attention to the details
- Capable of propelling technical projects cross departments and cultures, and meeting deadlines
- Capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tools with a "hands-on" approach
- Risk assessment by using relevant FMEA tools
- Ability to work with complex solution covering tools, processes, and materials
- You are skilled at communicating in English, both written and spoken
